KSU Signage and Task Orders

Since 2018, KSU has engaged Leapley Construction to deliver campus renovations and upgrades. The work includes:

  • Carmichael Student Center Bookstore and Costume Shop Renovations
  • Front Entrance Renovation
  • Howell Hall Temporary HVAC
  • Monument Signs Phases I-III
  • Transportation and Card Services
  • Throwing Cage Relocation
  • Post Office and Print Shop

Perhaps the most striking component of this work, the campus wide signage reinforces the visual identity of the growing university. Leapley replaced multiple monument signs, including the entrance.

Located at the main intersection outside of KSU, the entrance monument welcomes students and visitors to the Kennesaw campus. Leapley took an overgrown, mixed purpose area and created the 32-foot-tall statement signage and custom lighting. To safely deliver the project on time for the dedication ceremony, Leapley removed 90 trees, placed 47,000 SF of sod, planted 82 new trees and 226 shrubs, hauled off 50 truckloads of soil, and installed 450 feet of 10-foot-tall black vinyl coated chain link fence with custom printed windscreen. To mitigate the impacts of long team times for the bricks, Leapley worked around the clock to lay 20,000 bricks for the sign columns and radius wall signs in six days.
