ATV Sylvan
Renovation of a historic south downtown hotel, converting the second and third floors into office spaces and a community hub, while the first floor features a new Welcome Center and additional office space. The project included interconnecting stairs, new HVAC rooftop units, and the restoration and installation of a historic sign.
Leapley Construction proudly completed the renovation and build-out of Atlanta Tech Village’s second location, ATV Sylvan, at the historic Hotel Sylvan site in downtown Atlanta. Originally constructed in 1905, the building was transformed into a vibrant hub for entrepreneurs, offering a mix of private offices, coworking spaces, and community areas designed to foster collaboration and innovation.
Leapley worked closely with South Downtown to restore and rehang the iconic Hotel Sylvan sign, ensuring the preservation of a landmark that has long stood as part of the neighborhood’s character. The build-out of floors 1-3 presented a series of technical challenges, particularly with some of the building’s original structural elements, including rotted wood beams and columns. Leapley utilized innovative solutions such as sandwich joints to reinforce and stabilize these elements while maintaining the integrity of the historic space.
